Synfluo 180VF

SYNFLUO 180 is a unique combination of micronized high molecular weight synthetic wax and PTFE.

SYNFLUO 180VF is micronized to a NPIRI 2.0-2.5 grind.

SYNFLUO 180 has been formulated to impart a combination of optimum abrasion resistance and hardness associated with synthetic wax along with the lubricity (slip) provided by PTFE. Each of the components are designed to provide properties for maximum performance when incorporated into printing inks, paints and coatings.

SYNFLUO 180 contains more PTFE than Synfluo 178 for improved heat and solvent resistance. SYNFLUO 180 can be easily mixed into all ink and coating formulations by means of standard dispersion techniques and equipment. The particle size distribution is carefully controlled using Laser Diffraction Analysis. SYNFLUO 180 is supplied in 2 different particle size distributions.

SYNFLUO 180 is recommended for use in the following areas: Flexo, gravure, web offset-heat set, sheet fed (quick set), UV curing and metal decorating printing inks; can coatings, coil coatings, industrial paints, powder coatings and all types of overprint varnishes.

Optimum properties are usually achieved by adding 0.2 - 2.0% by weight. The amount required will vary depending on the application and end use requirements.
