MPP-611 is a finely micronized polyethylene wax
that has been processed to a NPIRI grind gauge reading
of 2.0-3.0. Additions of 1-3% (by weight) will impart
excellent rub and mar resistance and surface slip to printing
inks, paints and coatings.
MPP-611 is also available in a finer grade called
MPP-611XF. MPP-611XF has been processed
to a NPIRI grind gauge reading of 1.0-1.5.
Due to fine particle sizes of MPP-611 and MPP-611XF,
prior compounding or grinding is not necessary. Incorporation
into most inks or coatings can be readily achieved with
high speed mixing equipment. MPP-611 will provide
excellent heat resistance and improved solubility resistance
and recoatability than micronized synthetic waxes.
MPP-611 is recommended for use in the following;
IR, UV, heat set web offset and quick setting sheet
fed printing inks; metal decorating paints and printing
inks (conventional and non varnish types); coil coatings,
powder coatings and high gloss overprint varnishes.
MPP-611 has shown to provide excellent anti-blocking
properties when added to flexographic and gravure inks,
as well as water and solvent based wood finishes.
