Micropro 200

MICROPRO 200 is a finely micronized, modified polypropylene wax formulated to provide gloss control as well as mar and abrasion resistance when added to all types of paints or coatings.

MICROPRO 200 has been micronized to a NPIRI grind of 4.0-5.0 for easy dispersion into most coatings by high speed mixing, eliminating the need for grinding or melting. MICROPRO 200 will improve mar, scratch, and metal marking resistance as well as impart burnishing resistance when used in low or medium gloss finishes.

APPLICATION AND USE LEVELS: Addition of MICROPRO 200 levels of 0.5% to 2.0% (based on total formula weight) will impart optimum resistance to mar and abrasion in paints and coatings. At levels of 2.0% to 5.0%, MICROPRO 200 becomes an efficient matting additive that will stay in suspension, resist burnishing, and will not lose its effect over an extended period of time. When MICROPRO 200 is used in conjunction with silica flatting additives, its low density helps to keep these additives in suspension and will improve metal marking resistance.

MICROPRO 200 will perform well in most paint or coating applications but is especially designed for use in wood finishes, powder coatings and industrial paints.
