MicroMatte 1213 UVW

MICROMATTE 1213 UVW is a finely micronized, modified polypropylene wax which has been specifically formulated for use in water reducible and UV cured paints and coatings.

MICROMATTE 1213 UVW incorporates high molecular weight polymers and micro encapsulated silica in order to provide optimum mar and abrasion resistance while providing uniform and efficient gloss reduction. MICROMATTE 1213 UVW will also impart uniform gloss control and a smooth feel to waterborne and UV surface coatings on wood, metal or paper. MICROMATTE 1213 UVW is easily dispersed into most paints, inks or coatings with a high speed disperser.

MICROMATTE 1213 UVW is specifically formulated to eliminate flotation and, due to its toughness and non-abrasive micro encapsulation technology, it will prevent burnishing.

APPLICATION AND USE LEVELS: MICROMATTE 1213 UVW is especially recommended for use in waterbased wood finishes and UV coatings (interior or exterior). Addition of MICROMATTE 1213 UVW at levels of 0.5% to 2.0% (based on total formula weight) will impart excellent resistance to blocking and abrasion. In waterbased coatings, at levels of 2.0% to 4.0%, MICROMATTE 1213 UVW is a very efficient matting agent that stays in suspension, resists burnishing and will not lose its effectiveness over extended periods of time. In UV coatings, at levels of 2.0% to 10.0%, MICROMATTE 1213 UVW will impart consistent gloss control at lower viscosities than conventional matting agents.
