Handy Tack 140

HANDY TACK 140 is a hydrocarbon resin which has been finely micronized to a NPIRI grind gauge reading of 1.0-1.5 for easy dispersion into ink formulations. This product has been designed to facilitate the increasing of tack on batches of web offset and sheetfed offset inks simply by adding it during the mixing operation.

Because of its physical properties, 1-3% of HANDY TACK 140 will increase the inkometer reading (1200 RPM-90oF) approximately 1-2 points without affecting gloss, drying or grind readings. Use of HANDY TACK 140 simplifies the quality control of batches by eliminating the need to add large percentages of vehicle or pigmentation in the formulation and splitting tubs because of large additions.

HANDY TACK 140 will allow for faster quality control approvals, and, therefore, will increase ink production speed and efficiency.
