FLUO 625C is a micronized high quality polytetrafluoroethylene
(PTFE) which has been developed for use in applications
where uniform texture (structure), heat resistance, and
lubricity are required. FLUO 625C is micronized
and post blended to insure batch uniformity. The particle
distribution is carefully controlled using Laser Diffraction
Analysis in order to produce a consistent texturing effect.
FLUO 625C is produced from virgin PTFE in order
to provide optimum purity and color stability.
APPLICATION:
FLUO 625C is recommended for use in industrial
paints and coatings and especially for all types of
powder coatings. The amount of addition will depend
on the texture required. Usually 2-5%* addition levels
will produce a uniform textured surface.
INCORPORATION:
FLUO 625C is generally added into the pre-mix
in powder coatings. Optimum dispersion can be achieved
with a dry blend in a part of the binder before extrusion.
Since FLUO 625C is already in micronized powder
form, post blending is also possible. For fluid paints
and coatings, FLUO 625C can be stirred in directly
with high speed dispersion equipment.
