AQUAPOLY
215
AQUAPOLY 215 is a finely micronized, cost effective,
polyethylene wax which has been modified for easy dispersion
into aqueous systems such as printing inks, paints and
coatings.
AQUAPOLY
215 is available in two particle sizes. AQUAPOLY
215 has been processed to a NPIRI grind gauge reading
of 5.0-6.0 and AQUAPOLY 215VF has been processed
to a NPIRI grind gauge reading of 2.0-3.5 for direct
incorporation into aqueous systems using high speed
mixing equipment. Prior compounding or grinding is not
necessary in most cases.
AQUAPOLY
215 has been formulated to provide excellent rub
resistance, anti-blocking and slip properties when incorporated
into aqueous systems. The unique properties of AQUAPOLY
215 eliminate the problem of "flotation" or "defoamer
kickout" which is common when using most types of conventional
micronized waxes or polyethylenes in aqueous systems.
Additions of 0.5-2.0% (by weight) will provide optimum
performance. The level of addition will depend on the
end use requirements.
AQUAPOLY
215
is recommended for use in the following areas: Flexographic
(paper or film), packaging gravure (paper or carton)
and publication gravure printing inks; water reducible
wood finishes, coil coatings, industrial finishes and
latex paints; aqueous coatings for offset printed folding
cartons or paper (Dahlgren, Epic, etc.); aqueous overprint
varnishes and can coatings.
